The Heat is On
The Heat is On
From the episode: The Brown Knight
Singers: Cleveland, Pawn Shop Owner
Voices: Mike Henry

"The Heat is On" is the title of a popular song from the 1984 film Beverly Hills Cop. It was recorded by Glenn Frey and received large amounts of air time by itself, reaching the second spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1985.

When Cleveland enters a pawn shop in search of Donna's stolen ring in "The Brown Knight", he discovers a video camera, a fog machine, and a saxophone, which inspires him to sing this song.

Lyrics

Cleveland:
Oh-woah-oh,
Oh-woah-oh,
Caught up in the action, I've been looking out for you,
Oh-woah-oh,
Oh-woah-oh,
Tell me can you feel it?
Tell me can you feel it?
Cleveland and Pawn Shop Owner:
Tell me can you feel it?
Cleveland:
The heat is...
On.
